The InfinBox ® G4 Family Evolves and Expands to Deliver More Technical and Business Value to Your Enterprise!

Over the last 18 months, Infinidat has had outstanding success with the launch and acceptance of our InfiniBox® G4 Family with powerful recognition from the storage, IT, and cyber security analyst and press communities. It was the revolutionary goal to “Raise the Bar” and create a new foundation for the future, and Infinidat certainly did that. We provided comprehensive enterprise storage solutions that performed up to 2.5X better than our previous generation. We provided better power efficiency with new processors and controller architecture, and, most of all, it assured us an extensive runway to the future.

Today, we start down that evolutionary path by expanding our portfolio with new lower capacity entry price points and nearly doubling the effective capacity of our biggest hybrid InfiniBox, now capable of providing up to 33PBe storage capacity (up from 17.2PBe capacity with the original G4), leveraging 24TB drives. This scalable option is part of Infinidat’s strategy to continue to expand and enhance new applications, use cases and applications for our enterprise customers, as well as extending the InfiniBox’s excellent consolidation capabilities. Additionally, the 33PBe InfiniBox hybrid will continue Infinidat’s strong success as a backup target device, with reduced backup windows, shorter backup restoration times, and enterprise cyber storage resilience and recovery with a guaranteed Recovery Time Objective RTO, regardless of the backup repository size, of only 1 minute or less.

In our InfiniBox™ SSA G4 all-flash platform, we lowered our entry capacity point to 77TB of storage, while continuing to deliver a full panoply of high-end enterprise features and capabilities in an even smaller form-factor. Our enterprise customers and markets want high-end, unmatched real-world application performance, high reliability, 100% guaranteed availability, and powerful cyber storage security, resilience, and recovery. Everything our full-rack scale platforms provide, but now in a 21% smaller footprint than ever before, as little as 11U and a 29% lower entry level price for our award-winning enterprise storage solution! That doesn’t mean you are stuck with lower capacities. With our end-to-end NVMe models, we support TLC and QLC-based flash devices, which will include 30TB, 60TB QLC with larger capacities coming in the future. We will also be providing a much more granular “Scale-Up” capability in our platforms, where capacity-based upgrades will now be available in much smaller increments compared to our partially populated options of the past that required adding capacity in much bigger chunks of 20% or 40%. As has been the case since the beginning of Infinidat, all scale-up options are delivered with complete non-disruption to your applications and workloads when you upgrade your capacity!

Chris Evans, a principal analyst at Architecting IT, has stated: “The strong evolution of Infinidat’s InfiniBox G4 series continues to advance their flagship primary storage platform. Infinidat has clearly listened to what the enterprise market wants, solving their enterprise customers’ pain points with the enhancements to the InfiniBox G4 with pin-point precision. At the same time, Infinidat is staying true to their core solution values, making the G4 more versatile, more sustainable, and more central for a wider range of enterprise use cases.”

But wait, there’s more! We continue to enhance our data services in so many different ways and areas; there is too much to describe, but here is a taste of the product data services enhancements:

  • Multi-point async replication with up to 6X better performance than our previous generation platforms
  • Snapshot enhancements to our already powerful capabilities
  • Native protocol support in Infinidat’s InfuzeOS™ operating system, including NFSv4 (including NFSv4.1) and S3 Object. But what is most important is that these are NOT bolt-on protocols, as they are with many of our competitors, but they are fully natively integrated into InfuzeOS and will benefit from the same outstanding performance and high-end enterprise features we have always had. You can have a high-end enterprise storage array with file, block, and object natively embedded in the same array. Talk about making things easier for our customers.

I dare to say that there are not many, if any, competitors out there that can claim that their file and/or object implementations are as fast as block. But Infinidat can. That means that as you adopt new technologies in AI and cloud native applications and need enhanced protocols for security, etc… you are not giving up performance to get that with InfuzeOS.

To drive all this file and object goodness is a need for high-speed Ethernet connectivity. We are now making 100Gb/e available on our platforms supporting up to 12 - 100Gbe ports! More performance over fewer ports means simpler infrastructure and management and easier deployment.

Saving money is always good, right? Of course, it is! It is still a core tenet in everything we do. AI server infrastructure is creating tremendous data center power and cooling burdens for everyone. Not Infinidat…. Based on our capacity gains and our new, smaller footprints, leveraging the same or better power utilization overall, dramatically drops the cost of capacity per PB by up to 45%! Yes…. Yes, we are paying attention to this critical area of infrastructure efficiency.

Another thing to mention. Many think that you need AI-specific protocols to play, like GPU Direct. Sure, ok, if you are building and executing massive models with 100s of PB or EBs of data, but for common more, practical implementations, they work very well with a HIGH-performance, enterprise-class system with the lowest latency in the industry and can utilize all the available bandwidth in our platform without expensive and complex connectivity. That is Infinidat and the InfiniBox family with latency as low as 35 microseconds. But I digress…. We keep all your OpEx needs top of mind and provide solutions to help you achieve your workload and business goals.

Last but not least: our high-end core solution values and our INDUSTRY-LEADING GUARANTEES for performance, availability, and, most importantly in today’s world, cyber storage resilience and recovery with our InfiniSafe solution and our next-generation cyber focused strategy for data protection, data validation, and near-instantaneous recovery − guaranteed! Surround that with the best white-glove support in the industry, and you have a rock-solid set of platforms, technologies, and people whose only goal is to make your business successful with our truly high-end enterprise solutions.
