Infinidat Cares Around the World

Helping to fight cancer. Providing support for Ukrainian refugees in the face of war – from Israel to Europe and the U.S. and beyond. Raising funds to help struggling soldiers, veterans and their families in times of need. All of these are examples of humanitarian causes that Infinidat supports, demonstrating the values of our company to give back, do well by doing good, and make a positive difference in the world.

Infinidat cares. This isn’t simply a platitude of corporate social responsibility. It is an expression of the strong commitment, resolve, and energy that Infinidat employees have to do the kinds of meaningful deeds that leading companies do. A leadership mindset pervades the organization, and leaders lead change – change that accelerates better outcomes, whether it’s for cancer patients, veterans, or refugees.

Not only does our company produce state-of-the-art enterprise storage and cyber resilience platforms and is consistently named as “Best Enterprise Storage Solution”, but Infinidat also gets engaged with the local communities where its employees live and work or have connection to. We strive to fulfill a greater purpose to be the solution to a problem that affects significant populations of people.

When Infinidat as a company, or an individual employee, gets involved with a worthy cause, it reflects well on the Infinidat community. There is a ripple effect that can make an Infinidat employee stop and think, “I’m proud to be part of this company that is making a difference.”

It goes beyond the massive impact that Infinidat is having in the storage market to accelerate storage consolidation, lower total cost of ownership, redefine cyber resilience and empower our channel partners. Those are all important, but there is more to the Infinidat story. And the difference-making that is being done is so creative, compassionate and courageous, ranging from “a battle of technology rockstars” to hiking for 24 hours to rescuing people from war-torn Ukraine. In each example, there is a story, a lesson, and a hidden gem of inspiration.

Tech Tackles Cancer

Infinidat is supporting Tech Tackles Cancer, which was founded to harness the power of the storage industry and tech partners to raise awareness and increase funds supporting pediatric cancer causes. Now in its 6th year, Tech Tackles Cancer is returning to an in-person event after a hiatus of more than two years due to the COVID pandemic.

To generate significant fundraising, Tech Tackles Cancer will bring together storage vendors, including Infinidat, and other technology companies in a “Battle of the Technology Rockstars” on June 21 at The Sinclair in Cambridge, Massachusetts. If you cannot attend in person in Greater Boston, you will be able to watch the live show from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Eastern on LinkedIn Live.

Infinidat’s own Ken Steinhardt, field CTO and accomplished musician, will be one of the featured performers to compete in the live band karaoke competition. He is running a personal fundraising campaign that will directly benefit this charity. (Watch the video interview with Eric Herzog and Ken on theCube about this effort.)

Since 2012, Tech Tackles Cancer has raised more than $2 million in donations for organizations focused on pediatric cancer treatment and research, including St. Baldrick’s and One Mission. This year, the goal is to raise over $300,000 for pediatric cancer-related causes. Infinidat is making a contribution.

The Cateran Yomp

An Infinidat employee named Lee Sirett took part in the Cateran Yomp, a 54-mile hike in 24 hours across rural Perthshire in the U.K. He stepped up to the challenge in order to raise funds for ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, the Army’s National Charity, providing a lifetime of support to soldiers, veterans and their immediate family members.

His adventure began on the 4th of June, and we applaud him for his initiative and determination, as he sought to raise money to help those in need. Although the hike was difficult, he charged ahead and rose above the obstacles – a quality that is useful for winning in the storage space, too. He represents the “can do” attitude well, and he cares.

Ukrainian Refugee Rescue and Relief

An Infinidat employee in Israel named Ira Lugovoy was so touched by a person’s story of needing to escape the life-threatening dangers in war-torn Ukraine that they helped the refugees make a way from Ukraine to Germany. It was a person reaching out with compassion to offer support in a time of extreme duress. Coming to the aid of Ukrainian refugees is a noble endeavor that helps to ease the pain of displacement.

Infinidat employees are not only among the best experts in storage in the industry, but they are also empathetic, quick to assist for the sake of humanity, and creative problem-solvers, leaping from continent to continent in a single digital bound to find a place of safety and security for refugees. It is reminiscent of how Infinidat employees improve cybersecurity and cyber resilience every day for enterprise customers and service providers.

As a company, Infinidat contributed money to Ukrainian humanitarian relief funds. Our company is a global organization, and we believe in giving back for the good of humanity.

We cannot take for granted the good that Infinidat employees do to make the world a better place. The compassion and empathy that are expressed in action are inspiring and a model of good corporate responsibility. We share common bonds across the earth. We are Infinidat. We care.
