Infinidat Expands its Reach in the Cloud with InfuzeOS™ Cloud Edition for Azure

In 2023, Infinidat took a step across the horizon to the cloud, starting with InfuzeOS™ Cloud Edition for Amazon Web Services (AWS). We took that step because enterprise customers need a consistent, end-to-end storage experience and functionality in the public cloud for their hybrid cloud configuration, comparable to what they have come to depend on in the data center, creating a seamless hybrid cloud deployment. With experience, enterprises have a better understanding about where they want workloads to run and enable the same solution experience to extend to the cloud. Thus, it makes sense for us to continue to expand that functionality to the public cloud, providing a hybrid-cloud storage solution to address these needs easily and smoothly across multiple public clouds.

The workloads that comprise most of enterprise primary storage use cases in the public cloud support backup, business continuity disaster recovery, test/dev/POC and general storage use cases, where bursting or some level of tiering is important. Many enterprises have realized that their high performance, business-critical workloads need to remain in the data center, where it is more economical and more efficient to host and manage those workloads.

Our enterprise customers have asked us to provide an end-to-end hybrid multi-cloud experience that makes their business infrastructures consistent, easy to manage, and provides them with storage standardization from on-prem to the cloud. This is where we entered the hybrid cloud, with a focus on the use cases that make sense and provide the experience our customers expect. It is a logical part of our platform evolution, and the power of InfuzeOS makes it possible.

Following through on this journey, with our announcement last year of InfuzeOS Cloud Edition in Amazon Web Services (AWS), it is now available in Microsoft Azure and AWS environments. Both are powered by InfuzeOS, the software defined storage (SDS) that powers our InfiniBox®, InfiniBox™ SSA II, and InfiniGuard® platforms. InfuzeOS Cloud Edition is built from exactly the same code as our industry-leading, on-premises enterprise storage solution: the same functionality, the same easy management, the same autonomous automation, the same cyber storage resilience, the same interfaces, API’s, CLI’s, and the same integrations that our enterprise customers have invested in and trusted for years!

As a leading storage analyst, Matt Kimball, an analyst at Moor Insights, noted how the combination of InfuzeOS Cloud Edition for Microsoft Azure with our series of new innovations has generated significant interest.

IT organizations and storage administrators are more challenged than ever in managing their sprawling data estate. The cost and complexity associated with managing data dispersed across the enterprise and in the cloud is careening toward untenable. Infinidat is building a comprehensive framework for hybrid, multi-cloud storage with seamless public cloud integration with InfuzeOS. With support for AWS previously announced, the company has expanded support for Microsoft Azure, enabling enterprise organizations to manage and secure data easier and more cost effectively.

Likewise, our channel partners are excited about the significant enhancements to our portfolio of solutions, including the InfuzeOS Cloud Edition for Azure:

“The slew of new solutions that Infinidat has launched is quite impressive. The enterprise storage solutions provider is dramatically expanding their offering with a next-generation storage solution as well as laying out a multi-phase plan to take their InfiniVerse platform to greater heights. The new InfiniSafe Automated Cyber Protection solution is on-point for today’s cyber threat landscape, and Infinidat’s expansion of support for hybrid, multi-cloud environments, with their addition of Microsoft Azure support is exactly what is needed,” said Liam Mugford, Head of Partner Development at CMS Distribution.

InfuzeOS, which is at the heart of our InfiniVerse® Platform, powers everything we do now and into the future. More exciting things will come from Infinidat - enabled by the power, simplicity, and capability that InfuzeOS brings to all our solutions. It will be front and center for core, cloud, and edge.
