What the InfiniBox SSA II Means for The Channel

The recent unveiling of the new InfiniBox™ SSA II, our next generation solid state array, has opened the eyes of many channel partners to see the opportunities that this new enterprise storage solution creates. The feedback from channel partners so far has been tremendously positive. They are telling us what they can now do with the new Infinidat solution to drive new business.

For example, take Technologent, a woman-owned, WBENC certified and global provider of IT solutions and services for Fortune 1000 companies; they see the value of the low latency and the cyber resilience. It’s about demanding workloads and peace of mind. They told me: “With the new InfiniBox SSA II offering, we’re able to bring 35 microsecond latency and 100% availability to help our customers meet the most demanding workloads,” said Trent Widtfeldt, Chief of Engineering, Technologent.

This channel partner takes pride in partnering with the best technology vendors in the industry because they are committed to bringing the most efficient solutions to their customers. I love their focus on meeting customer needs, increasing customer value, and delivering meaningful outcomes.

Understanding the significance of cyber resilience, Trent put InfinSafe® in perspective in a concise way: “With the InfiniSafe Cyber Resiliency Technology extending into the InfiniBox® portfolio, we’re able to provide our customers the peace of mind they need in a time filled with cyberattacks and data breaches.”

Cybersecurity issues continue to be on everyone’s radar. One of our UK channel partners, Bell Integration, shared how important it is for enterprises to develop cyber resilience strategies across the storage estate. The channel is at the center of this forward progress, and so is Infinidat: “Enterprises are relentlessly challenged with the threat of cyberattacks. With Infinidat’s InfiniSafe technology extended to Infinidat’s family of innovative InfiniBox storage solutions, end-users can develop robust cyber resilience strategies for their primary storage estate,” said Stuart McMinn, Chief Technology Officer at Bell Integration.

Data and cyber resilient storage needs to be part of a company’s comprehensive, corporate cybersecurity strategy. Channel partners are in the perfect position to help enterprises understand, create, refine, and accelerate this merging of strategies.

Storage is the new conversation-starter when talking to enterprise decision-makers because of the ever-increasing threat of cyberattacks. The question “How are you rethinking the way storage fits into your cybersecurity strategy?” could result in a multi-million-dollar opportunity. The risks to enterprises need to be reduced, and the holes need to be plugged. With Infinidat’s solutions combined with our channel partners expertise, those holes can be eliminated.

Cyber resilience is among the most important and highly demanded requirements of enterprises today to ensure exceptional cybersecurity and combat cyberattacks across the entire storage estate and data infrastructure.

We have extended cyber resilience to our primary storage with the InfiniSafe Reference Architecture. InfiniSafe combines immutable snapshots of data, logical air gapping, fenced forensic environment, and virtually instantaneous data recovery. It spans across both InfiniGuard® and the entire InfiniBox family, including the new InfiniBox SSA II.

In addition to the cyber resilience, the chatter within the channel is about the low latency of the InfiniBox SSA II. Stuart at Bell Integration succinctly combined the two. As he noted, “The new InfiniBox SSA II delivers enterprises unmatched performance with superior cyber data protection!”

Let’s face facts: the new InfiniBox SSA II now stands as the industry’s fastest all-flash storage array with unprecedented low latency. It delivers lower latency than any other comparable enterprise storage platform in the industry, delivering an unprecedented 35 microseconds of latency.

Another channel partner yelled into my ear, “35 mics? Really?” I replied, “Yes, really. 35 mics.”

It’s attention-grabbing, but it’s much more than just that. It’s an advancement that is a tool in the hands of channel partners to generate new revenue opportunities in the enterprise market and among service providers (MSPs, MHPs and CSPs). It represents competitive differentiation, and it’s a deal-making magnet. Anyone who knows what they’re talking about is going to engage in a conversation about 35 microseconds of latency, since it dramatically enhances real-world application and workload performance. Figuratively speaking, it’s a barn burner. It changes the game in the all-flash market.

Let your opinion be known on social media. The channel is talking, and we’re listening. #infiniboxSSAII
