Strong International Sales Traction Outpaces EMEA Storage Market Trends

INFINIDAT, a leading provider of advanced enterprise-class storage solutions, today announced that the company delivered 300 percent sales growth in Q2 2015, including a 500 percent increase in channel sales. Fifty-three percent of global sales came through reseller and distributor channels. This healthy increase in international sales comes on the heels of IDC’s recent report, EMEA Quarterly Disk Storage System Tracker Q12015, which indicates that the external disk storage systems market in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) in the first quarter of 2015 experienced one of its biggest declines in recent years.

“During a period in which enterprise storage sales are declining for the major vendors, the high performance, scalability, reliability and best-in-industry TCO delivered by INFINIDAT’s unique hybrid architecture are proving that if you can solve customers’ storage problems, they will buy,” said Moshe Yanai, INFINIDAT Founder and CEO.
A recent IDC white paper providing results from a survey of 250 enterprise customers points out that the “key requirements for storage performance, capacity, scalability, reliability, manageability, and cost” are still forefront in customers’ minds.1
The INFINIDAT InfiniBox™ storage solution delivers advanced, high performance enterprise-class storage at a disruptive price point. InfiniBox offers mainframe-class reliability with an unprecedented 99.99999% availability, while providing over 750K IOPS and 12.5 GB/s of throughput. By providing multi-petabyte capacity in a single rack, along with continuous data protection and rich storage automation, INFINIDAT is changing the paradigm of storage efficiency and productivity while dramatically reducing operational overhead, complexity and cost.

INFINIDAT added several large customers in Q2, including two global financial services companies that each purchased 10PB of storage capacity. The company also expanded its market reach in Europe and in Asia Pacific, and now has over 79 channel partners worldwide.

“We’re also seeing repeat business as a strong indicator of the solution/market alignment and customers’ willingness to invest in our technology, team and vision,” added Yanai. “In particular, we have multiple customers who initially purchased from us in 2014 and who have, with recent purchases, eclipsed $10M in INFINIDAT product purchased.”

“InfiniBox yields huge benefits to cloud providers and other companies that need increasingly larger storage capacities, yet want to optimize their floor space, cooling and power requirements in their data centers,” said Matt Iavarone, Director of Systems and Storage Infrastructure at TriCore Solutions. “InfiniBox’s sustained IOPS performance was better than what we observed from other storage systems, even though the other arrays were all flash.”

Customers can see the InfiniBox and the INFINIDAT Storage Architecture™ in Booth # 2211 at VMworld August 30 – September 3, 2015 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA.
